Tour’s Program

  • You will most likely arrive at the nearest airport, which is Punta Arenas (Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport (PUQ). It is located 5-hours south of Torres del Paine National Park. The airport receives daily non-stop flights from Santiago.
  • It is then 3-hours from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales arriving at Teniente Julio Gallardo Airfield (PNT), plus an additional 2 hours' drive to Torres del Paine NP.
  • Your guide will meet you in Puerto Natales at its airfield where you will be transported to your eco-camp or eco-lodge in (or near) Patagonia. Along the way, you are bound to enjoy the beautiful landscape mountainous scenery.

A less daunting trail, the Paso Los Cuernos traverses along the north shore of Nordenskjöl. Beginning at Campamento Italiano and reaching the massif of Cuernos del Paine, Paso Los Cuernos is perched above a lake.

  • You'll hike the trail of Paso Los Cuernos. Above ground, the landscape reveals scenery of towering, jagged-peaks that is synonymous with Patagonia.

A natural basin, Valle del Francés (or Frenchman´s Valley) comprises the central spike of the W, which begins at Lago Pehoe in the direction of the north east.

  • On this day, you will trek below the glacier-covered slopes of Cerro Paine. At 2,850m (9,350ft). This is the highest summit in the range and the site offers views of the western side of mountain range.

The landscape here forms what is often been described as "a surreal landscape" due to the crystalline water of the lake and the towering background peaks with their reflections in the lake. Here is good for watching exotic animal species as they freely roam the land.

  • You'll hike Pehoe and linger by the lake to observe its surreal landscape, wildlife, and plant species.

Dominating the landscape, the Towers of Paine are 3 colossal granite pillars that soar around 2,800 meters and above the Patagonian steppe. These summits are complemented by the summit of Paine Grande, which reaches 3,050 meters; the peaks known as Los Cuernos (The Horns) also lined the landscape.

  • You'll trek the Towers of Paine and delve in scenery of granite massifs, glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and lagoons.

A glacier wonderland of icebergs and blue lake, the site has an ice field at one point and ice wall at the opposite side of the water.

  • You'll embark on a sailing expedition that brings you right up to the glacier.

A natural monument, Milodon Cave is the site where extinct animal bones were found such as that of the prehistoric Mylodon, as well as human's elements and artifacts dating back to 6000 BC.

  • If you have time before you depart, after breakfast, you may want to explore the Milodon Cave and take a journey into the past in a natural environment.

  • Spring through to fall are somewhat cooler and wind tends to be calmer.
  • During the winter months, some routes are closed such as the Paine Circuit and W Trek. However, the landscape is transferred to a sleek winter wonderland.

Living in the Amazon rainforest are over 40, 000 species of plants, 427 types of mammals (incl. jaguar, anteater, and giant otter), 1,300 varieties of birds, 378 breeds of reptiles (incl. boa), in excess of 400 classes of amphibians (incl. dart poison frogs) and roughly 3,000 categories of freshwater fish. Due to its vastness and some unreachable areas, many species in the Amazon remain undiscovered by scientists. Depending on where in the world your eco resort is located, the nature tour you booked will take you on an intriguing path within that region.
  • On safari tours in Africa, you will observe animals in their natural habitats such as giraffes, lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, zebras, gorillas, panthers, birds, and reptiles.   • On mountain tours, you will hike up some of the most spectacular mountains in the world, these include the Swiss and French Alps, the Andes, the Himalaya mountains, Blue Mountain Peaks (Jamaica), and the Rocky Mountains in Canada and the United States.
  • British Columbia, Canada, and Alaska, United States allow travelers to traverse some of the most spectacular natural land in North America. These sites include the Great Bear Forest, Denali National Park and Preserve (and mountain), Kenai Fjords, and Brooks Falls. The regions are notable for bear viewing, whale watching, and their remote wildernesses, icy seas, and glacial landscapes.
  • Most of the nature tours by L’ EcoResorts are available off-the-beaten paths, in the wild. But in some cases, some tours may be available on land governed by the state or other bodies. Travelers are responsible to pay any entrance fees or additional transportation fees for themselves and their groups in order to access such sites, unless otherwise stated.   • Cancellations made 91 days or more prior to travel, 90% refund will be granted, unless otherwise stated.
  • Cancellations made 90 to 31 days prior to travel, 50% refund will be granted, unless otherwise stated.
