Our tour guides are naturalists and study the activities of the wild species and with the Polar Bear Tour Manitoba, we track the animals in their natural habitat during the excursion. Protecting and conserving this important biota is decisive to its long-term sustainability. Sited along the coastline of Manitoba on Hudson Bay, Churchill lies at a point where three important ecosystems connect. These are the ocean, the tundra, and the boreal forest. In addition to Polar bear sightings, Churchill is noted for its high Beluga whale population. During the season of spring, bird watchers arrive in drove to observe over 250+ species of the oiseaux (french: bird) that nest here as well as navigate the area during their annual migration.
Photographing the landscape of Manitoba can be extremely rewarding, as well.
