Negril Nature Tours Jamaica takes travelers to four neighboring parishes, these are Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth, Hanover, and St. James. And incorporate numerous facets, including jungle waterfalls, the ocean and cliffs, and rural community and sleepy fishing village for exploring the local culture.

A tiny beach town, Negril was the Woodstock of the Caribbean and the place where the hippies and laidback travelers went. All other tourists went to the east of the island and the hippies went west. This was a place where peace triumph and everyone chanted the slogans “one love” and “irie”.

During the hippy era, Negril was a sleepy fishing village. Its landscape made up of sparsely populated long white sandy beaches lined with swaying palm trees and wood and thatch shacks. At the other end, there is jagged coral rock cliffs perched above the ocean. Daily occurrences included the melodic tunes of reggae and ska music blaring from every corner hut. The distinct scents of jerk permeate the air.

With Negril Nature Tours Jamaica, we introduce travelers to the authentic Negril and its surrounding areas. In essence, as are many places much has changed in Negril but numerous aspects remained the same. Negril is laid-back and unworldly, more so than the other tourism meccas of Jamaica Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Treasure Beach is one of three sites featured in Negril Nature Tours Jamaica. Located on the rural southern coast, Treasure Beach is a sleepy fishing village. There are neither sky rise hotels nor chic sports bars here, only small guesthouses in tandem with local homes, shores, beaches, and rolling prairies. The ocean may not depict the pristine turquoise appearance of those in Negril, but the water team with wildlife including manatees, fish, turtles, see plants and reefs. On this excursion, travelers are transported to the Pelican Bar, an offshore tiki hut that has a tiny swim area. The site is famous for watching the sunset.

Negril Nature Tours Jamaica takes travelers to Mayfield Falls. Dubbed Jamaica’s #1 Eco-Tourist Attraction, Mayfield Falls is truly a nature lover’s paradise. It has “two beautiful waterfalls, 21 natural pools, 52 varieties of ferns, an abundance of exotic tropical flowers and plant species, and several types of birds, butterflies, and indigenous wildlife.” — Mayfield Falls

And finally, on the Negril Nature Tours Jamaica, you will see the heart of rural Jamaica where people still wash their clothes by hand, at the nearby streams. You will stroll through the countryside in Lethe and meet the locals. On this excursion, you can engage in white water rafting and bamboo river rafting, zipline or just explore the rainforest on foot with your guide.

Tour’s Program

  • Complimentary arrival pick-up (incl. luggage) from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. You will see the city limits and countryside on your way to your resort in Negril. The ride over is 1 hour long.

Once in Negril, you will go:

  • Tour a local village on the outskirt of Negril and interact with the locals.
  • Watch Jamaicans dive off the cliff at the Ritz Cafe, and wait for the sunset - it is spectacular here.

You can bask in the sun, swim in shallow water, have a cold beer and eat fresh seafood, including lobster, conch, fish.
  • Mayfield Falls is to Negril/Westmoreland what Dunn's River is to Ocho Rios, but with far fewer visitors. A drive through the rainforest will take you to Mayfield Falls. It has 2 waterfalls, 21 natural pools, 52 varieties of ferns, a wide variety of exotic flora and fauna, including birds and butterflies.
  • Located just 30 minutes on the outskirt of Montego Bay is Lethe, a small rural community. The area contains lush jungles and rainforests. You will stroll the tropical landscape with a native guide and learn about plants on an eco-tour. You can engage in white river rafting or bamboo rafting on the famed Great River. And you can meet the locals and see their way of life in the country.
