The resort is located in the upper Amazon basin overlooking the majestic Napo River.
Offering 22 spacious bungalows, this Amazon Eco Lodge was built according to traditional architecture in harmony with the surrounding rainforest. All bungalows are equipped with a private bathroom, a private veranda with reclining chairs or hammocks to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Ecuador’s Amazon. Social areas are carefully decorated and offer all comfort and coziness for a splendid stay in the Ecuadorian Amazon. To preserve the magic of the Amazon, we use oil lamps to illuminate the cabins. We do not have electricity in order to cause less impact to our surroundings. However, electric devices can be charged at the reception.
Great comfort, excellent food, warm hospitality and spectacular rain forest scenery will appease you during your Amazon rainforest experience. Here’s an Amazon Eco Lodge that offers high nature tours led by native guides.
Due to the location near the Andes, the area is rich in tropical humid forests, one of the most biologically diverse regions in the world with a high number of endemic species in flora and fauna. The comfortable Amazon Lodge overlooks a river with its small islets of stones and sandy shores.
In the evenings and mornings you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets and sunrises which colors the skies, waters and the Amazon rainforest.
Because the river has a low water level, you can take a refreshing swim or simply relax on the small sandy beach. The shore is also used as a dock for the lodge´s canoe, where several of Ecuador´s Amazon tours depart.
At this Eco Lodge, you’ll live Amazon life in style!
And after your rainforest adventure, you’ll return to a relaxed atmosphere at the lodge.
We are constantly working on sustainable projects in order to conserve this important area. With your visit to our lodge you contribute to maintain the rainforest and help local communities increase their quality of life. Moreover, our resort is one of the first Amazon lodges certified by Smart Voyager. Number of employees: 17 Percentage of local employees: 75%
Caring for the wellbeing of the local and global environment: we don't dispose waste in the river or in the forests, and we have made changes to responsibly manage solid and liquid wastes. We don't contaminate the air, we maintain the vegetation inside and outside the lodge, we don't introduce domestic animals into the area or allow guests to bring them to the lodge, and we inform staff and guests on how to avoid negatively impacting flora and fauna in the area.
Our business supports the local community: the majority of employees are from the local area. Our two guides are from the indigenous Quechua group. We contract water and land transportation services from local suppliers, and we help economically by purchasing arts and crafts from native communities, and through the entrance fees for the butterfly garden and the animal rescue center.
